Shipping & Handling

AVE2DVD (The Great Tree, LLC/Audio Video Editor) uses UPS (United Parcel Service) and FedEx (Federal Express). USPS (United States Postal Service) shipments are at the request of the customer. USPS shipments are insured upon request of the customer and only delivery confirmation is included. UPS & FedEx carriers have a claims department and easy tracking capability. We do not track or take any responsibility for insurance or mislabeling of any parcel not sent out through AVE2DVD (The Great Tree, LLC/Audio Video Editor) our UPS, FedEx, or USPS account. Items in transit with UPS & FedEx are automatically insured for a nominal value of $100. If any items accepted by UPS, FedEx or USPS have been lost, broken or stolen while in transit, this results in a payment being made from carrier to AVE2DVD (The Great Tree, LLC/Audio Video Editor) of the $100 nominal insurance figure; the $100 will be credited to the customer towards the AVE2DVD (The Great Tree, LLC/Audio Video Editor) products and services. Monetary settlements will not be entered into between AVE2DVD and the customer. Claims for compensation from the customer direct to UPS & FedEx will be solely between UPS & FedEx and will not be supported by AVE2DVD. As the shipper of outgoing items, AVE2DVD (The Great Tree, LLC/Audio Video Editor) will deal direct with UPS & FedEx in all circumstances relating to the shipping of outgoing items.

Insurance

AVE2DVD (The Great Tree, LLC/Audio Video Editor) does not provide insurance of any kind beyond the replacement value of the raw material cost of your film, videotapes, slides/photos, audio media, or equipment. If your film, videotapes, slides/photos, audio media, or equipment have a value beyond the material cost of replacement then it is your responsibility to obtain the relevant insurance coverage from an outside vendor.

Damaged or lost film, video tapes, slide/photo images, audio media, and equipment

The purchase from us or delivery to us of any film, videotape, slide/photo images, audio media or equipment for any purpose including processing, cleaning, transfer, shipping or any other reason constitutes an agreement by you that if any such film, videotape, slide/photo images, audio media or equipment is damaged or lost by us while in our possession it will be replaced with an equivalent amount of unexposed film, processing, videotape or equipment. Except for such replacement, the handling of such film or videotape by us is without warranty or liability even though damage or loss is caused by our negligence, our agent’s negligence or other fault. We will assume no responsibility for the content value of your material. If you believe that your material has or will have at any time a value that exceeds the raw material cost then it is your responsibility to obtain the relevant insurance cover from an outside vendor.

Turnaround Times

All turnaround times quoted are NOT guaranteed. Every customer works to a different schedule with every job having a different degree of urgency of which AVE2DVD (The Great Tree, LLC/Audio Video Editor) is unaware. We are therefore unable to accept any responsibility for delays of any kind that result in any item not arriving within your required deadline. We always do our best to work within the times quoted but it is your responsibility to ensure that you have allowed extra time for unforeseen delays. AVE2DVD (The Great Tree, LLC/Audio Video Editor) will not refund or credit for any delayed items, whether or not caused by our own fault.

Customer Refunds

All sales are final. We do guarantee that you will be satisfied with the completed project.

Media Storage

All film, videotapes, slide/photo images, audio media and equipment sent to us will be stored free of charge for 30 days from the day of completion of AVE2DVD’s (The Great Tree, LLC/Audio Video Editor) processing, cleaning, video transfer or equipment repair work. If you have not arranged collection of your film, videotapes, slide/photo images, audio media or equipment within 60 days from the day of completion then we will assume that it has no further value to you and it will be disposed of. It is your responsibility to keep in touch with us and with your work.

Guarantee of Compatibility

We guarantee all our products, including DVD, meet universal standards and specifications. Our DVD-R discs will play in over 98% of players in existence and most all players made in the past couple years. If a playing DVD we produce at a special event we recommend testing the DVD on the actual player to be certain of compatibility. We only use high quality name brand discs and print your titles directly on the DVD, no stickers are used.

Retransfer

In extremely rare cases, mistakes may occur. We have never had an issue where another company’s transfer quality surpassed our own. We offer a 30-Day Re-transfer Policy for Media Transfer. If you are not satisfied with the quality of our work, you may pursue a retransfer. Contact AVE2DVD (The Great Tree, LLC/Audio Video Editor) within 30 days of your order’s most recent ship date. We will e-mail you a retransfer form. Return all of the media that we produced for the order in the condition that you received it. Include the confirmation in the box with your media. It may be necessary to return the original media to us as well. Retransfers will be completed as promptly as possible and then returned to you. We strongly recommend testing our service, if you are unsure of our services. Please note that AVE2DVD (The Great Tree, LLC/Audio Video Editor) will offer one retransfer per order. We reserve the right to refuse a retransfer after 30 days.
